Hey!
This week I’m taking a look at the pros and cons of 1x and 2x drivetrains. I’ve had to make the same choice when I was picking my bike last year, and I wanted to share what I’ve learned. I ultimately went for a 2x setup and I’m really happy with it. However, there’s a lot of positives to having only one derailleur to worry about. Read all about it in this weeks original piece.

⚙️ ORIGINAL: Should You Get a 1X or 2X Drivetrain?

🗺 Suffering and Survival in Bolivia's Cordillera Real
A great writeup on a difficult journey across Cordillera Real Mountains, a densely glaciated range stretching 77 miles and filled with more than 100 peaks higher than 17,000 feet. You can feel the pain these guys had to go through, but you realize that the price they paid was well worth it.
The drops on my top tube aren’t sweat. They are tears of exhaustion. My friends are tiny specks, far ahead, and I struggle to find the motivation to take another step…
🚀 Finding Flow on the Best MTB Trails
The concept behind Rupert Walker’s latest edit, “Land Escape,” was to pick four riders and film them all in different locations, allowing each rider’s distinct style and location blend together and complement each other.
