Hey there, this week I’m trying something different - a shorter, all video version of the MTB Weekly. I’m still trying to figure out what format works best for you, my reader, so let me know what you think. Just reply to this email.

This week I’m looking at Missy Giove, a MTB downhill legend from the 1990’s that turned to drug smuggling as her career came to an end. On a human level, this is a fascinating life story and I’m happy she is in a good place now. BKXC has visited St. Moritz in Switzerland and stumbled on a MTB focused hotel and some sweet flow trails. Jordie Lunn is working on the next Rough AF video and posted a sick preview - biking down a tree trunk and IFHT has some “advice” for buying an MTB…

👀 Profile: Missy "The Missile" Giove

The Champion Mountain Biker Turned Drug Smuggler, Missy Giove was one of MTB’s biggest start in the 1990’s. All that came to a sudden halt as the industry slowed down. Giove looked for other ways to turn a buck. Turns out mountain bikers are decent drug smugglers.
